:clapping: Hi all - as I said in my other post - I thought I would let you have a look at these pieces of handpainted furniture. This is part of what I was doing before I became interested in painting pictures - my artwork is really just an extension of this and decorative paint techniques on walls.

Those pieces of furniture above are in what I call 'French Antique Style'.

This next customer just wanted white with some flowers on - these pieces were for her bedroom.

Unfortunately - I can't get all my pictures on this one post - so will do another post

These are gorgeous! :) I think you've done a wonderful work. :)
drawings give an individuality of the furniture. Saying "This is part of what I was doing before" hope you don't have in mind you'll stop doing this, decorations and paintings work very well together. :)

:) Hi Deco - No I am not giving up the painted furniture or decorating peoples homes with my Decorative Paint Techniques - but because of moving to Spain - people have to get to know what I can do - so it has been a bit difficult trying to get started. I know I only need one or two jobs and the rest seem to come from 'word of mouth' - but just need to get started again !

In fact Ken and I was talking only yesterday - in the fact that if you didn't mind we might have some more leaflets done and then when we distribute those for 'easyletvillas.com' - we could distribute them at the same time for my 'Decorative Ideas' side of things. Let me know what you think and if you have time to do some for me :)

We have two or three new urbanisations 'popping up' around here in Tibi - thought this would be ideal to do some marketing :)

I'm sure when people see what you can do you'll be overburdened
with work :), there are so many great villas in Spain that I only can imagine
what a little advertising can do ;) :) Will design the leaflets with pleasure :) ,
think as many photos the leaflet has as better it'll present your style.
I'm sure after it you'll decorate so many houses that you'll need an advertising catalogue :) :)

:) Hi Deco - thank you for saying you will design some more leaflets for us :) Your an angel :) Do you think it would be good to have the 'before' pictures as well as the 'after' ones?

Over this next week then I will put something together for you to work on. I suppose they will have to go on A4 though don't you? I think A5 will be too small :) If you want to reply direct to my email address this is ok :)

:) Haven't seen any of your "before' pictures, if you email me some I can decide
if they'll be OK for the leaflet design :) in principle it's a good idea ;)

definitely A4 and I think double sided leaflets, you have done a large number of designs to fill in even two A4\ formats. :)

Hi Deco - if you look at the pictures above you will see some of the 'before' ones - the pictures above go in sequence - before and after :) Anyway I will email you some as well - give two or three days to get some wording and the pictures together :)

Oh I see :) , You've taken photos of the furniture before starting to
paint and then photos of already painted ones, I thought you're talking of some
"before" designs as sketches you make for your customers before to apply
the paints on the furniture :)

These are great Denise, I love hand painted furniture, particularly when it "recycles" and modernises the older pieces. You are very clever, and extremely patient....there is a lot of work involved! Is the first item painted with a faux marble technique? H x

:birthday: Hi Helz - thank you. The third and fourth item down - the 'roundish' or 'hexaganol' table is painted in faux marble - yes. I have also done this faux marbling effect on items like doors and architraving too - as well as furniture. I did go on a couple of courses though to do this technique and lots of others too. It does take a long while but I find it very therapeutic :birthday:

Deco - I can't draw for 'monkey nuts' :birthday: so I don't do sketches for people - I have a 'portfolio' that I show my customers of items of furniture that I have already transformed - so they usually choose from my portfolio but also they might see a picture of something they like and ask me if I could do something similar. The customer who had her bedroom furniture painted wanted her furniture in pale cream with a flower design on - so I just ask them what sort of flower etc and 'hey presto' she loved it. I also put new handles on the furniture.
