so i've got this set of 72 prismacolor pencils sitting around and i want to use them for portraits. i figure if i could get pretty fluent with them i would probably be getting a lot more customers.

Hi Kc,I myself use coloured pencils for most of my pictures along with Graphite, mine are Karisma which is the uk version of prismacolours. You could not get a better pencil than these apart form Derwent,to do your drawings. There is so much info on the net now for CP,that if you google "coloured pencil tutorials"you should get a good feedback.Alternatively if you pm me or mail me I can give you a list some of the places to go and some very good instruction books.
Another thing to remeber is that CP works works differently on different papers,so before you start have a mixture of testing papers around you so you can experiment with what one suits your style of drawing best.
Be interested to see your first pictures,so dont forget to post up.
