I've been covering over old paintings; and attempting something abstract; comments welcome

Somehow the first one kind of draws you in...it's as though the person is saying something to you, catching your attention. It has a quite intense feeling too.
it's the eye on the left (the person's right eye) that does it.

I love the contrast between the vibrant colour you've used, and a darkness in the forms of the paintings.

They're very effective, art that makes you slightly uncomfortable (in a good way). If I had one in my bedroom it might stop me sleeping, but I'd enjoy looking at both.

But that's just how they affect me. I'm curious about what effect you're going for with them.

These are quite stressful... definitely draw the attention
on one hand with the contrasting colors on other hand with intrusive
suggestion of dismay which they provoke.

looks like you've resorted to absolutely different drawing style - artistic or
spiritual research?

The first one was done in temper but was intended...pure experimentation :sneaky:

The second one is rubbish and will be painted over very soon :)

Eeeeek :birthday: Brian you promised not to tell anyone how bad I looked with out my make up.............. :cheer:
Very strong images, reming me not to cross you, hope the mood has passed sweetheart. I do like the life in them, loads of energy. First one is better than the second, dont paint over it, they both would hand in the TATE Modern.

Isn't it great that one can express emotions through art?

I find the first one un-nerving, (I don't do anger!) but love the fact that the painting has so much to say. The second one scares me as I can see fire! Wowwww, too deep for me, but I'm curiously drawn to them both. H x

quite freakish works, looking on your site wouldn't say it looks like your style,
different emotions and approach but somehow it works :clapping:
