Hi All, Van Meer, I have not sold a stick as yet. I have only given them to friends and relatives. It is a hobby, maybe when I make a few more and have a surplus I could sell some to help buy more materials to keep my hobby going. I would not like to make it a business as it would then not be a pleasure but a chore. Helz, I think the colours have come out nice but not quite as I imagined. I think I should have placed the colours in larger patches to give a better visual picture, but I am quite happy at the moment. The head is a little narrow and I have also had to cut some away to allow the hand to grip the handle comfortably. ldoone, Thank you for your comments, I am sure I will be asking your advise soon for paints on my next stick. I have tried to get on chat without success, am I doing something wrong. Regards and thanks everyone, Stickmaker ;) :cheer:

I can believe how modest stickmaker is!!!!!! most of us are very happy if the paint sticks to the canvas and comes out roughly how we had imagined it in our heads, This man, takes bone, and sculpts it into some thing beautiful!!!! THEN he paints it!!!!!!!!! You SIR are true ARTIST. Get making several and find a counrty fair and SELL THEM!!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

HI Alex, Thanks for your very nice comments. I'm very pleased with the results of my endeavours on this stick . I think maybe when I've made several more with differrent heads ie trout ,crook with scroll and thistle etc , and have a nice display perhaps I may do something similar to what you suggest . I would like to thank everyone who has encouraged me with their comments and help . Hawkwood especialy as he "showed me the way " to get the iridescents . I shall continue to use this forum and will probably be asking for more information on art . Best Regards Stickmaker :cheer: ;)
