I don't like this - trouble is, I don't know why. Is it as bad as I think it is? If so - why? I've been looking at it for months now, and still can't figure it out! :flowers:

It's a very good painting, but I also found there was a sort of mismatch between the two halves. I think for me it's because the lower half seems much brighter and more vivid, which makes the burning city muted. I think I agree with Alex, that these two images might be stronger if they were seperate, and each could be the centre of attention.

But it's still a very good painting :cheer: :whistling2: :cheer: :) :cheer: :clapping: :cheer: :clapping:

I agree with the others opinions. :whistling2:
I like the top part, but the part below looks a little unorganized as composition
and these two parts are made in quite different approach to colors which is not
so bad if there are some more colors or nuances to bind them. :)

Do YOU know what the picture 'means'??? Have you got a story in your head of the significance of the painting??

Maybe, if you put it all together, even add more floating objects, with a reason why they are there...then you'll come to like it.......

No Brian, I tend to do a painting, then stand back and think 'did I do that?' - only in this case I wish I hadn't. It probably goes along the lines of 'organisation continuing while the rest of the world is in chaos above'..............no - it's got to go, I know crap when I see it!! :cheer:

I agree with Alex on this one Peter. If your gonna ditch it anyway you may as well chop it first and see if you want to keep either half seperatly
