Delivered this one and another to a friend of my mother in law's yesterday. (My mother in law is 84 - now you know what level I'm aiming at!) Anyway, she loved them, and paid for them, and is going to show them to all her friends, so if it pays for the canvasses until someone discovers me - pass me a daffodil! :)

I've put a few on the back page of my freewebs site. Still very undecided as to where to go re online sales........I feel that at best it's been advertising, but to go the whole way is a bit of a gamble. :clapping:

Thanks Neo. The only explanation I have is that I'm trying to approach this in a different way to 'flower arranging'. I suppose it's just being aware of the space around the object, and using that as a canvas, rather than anything tangible. Only then can I begin to see in 3D - remember the 3D chess set in the old 'Star Trek'? - same principle. I think. :clapping:

Peter that is awesome :cheer: :clapping:
you are right about the space around the object, the object being the flowers.
In this case what you have used to display the flowers has given contrast and texture to it. It makes it much more interesting.

This is the real meaning of 'floral art'

:eusa_think: Hi Peter, I have to say these are great.

I trained as a florist and still help out with the odd wedding from time to time. You would really fit in with the way some florists are starting to see the ART of design rather than just whacking a load of flowers together.

Have you seen Kenneth Turner's books, I don't think he's brought out any new ones for a while, but he was ahead of his time in the 70's and 80's. Paula Pryke is good too.

Floristy and flower arranging isn't just for the blue rinse brigade!!! :groupwave:
