OK - this is as far as I've got with this funeral display. The final touch will be strategically placed silver butterflies - that was the compromise......instead of trying to build a butterfly shape out of oasis! ............It's a damn site harder than painting! :rofl2:
Well........I was going to upload it, but I've just found out that I've got no space left! Oh, well. :rofl2:

Looks very well peter :rofl2: , I haven't imagined you're so good at flowers decoration,
it's hard work, needs lots of patience and feeling of composition.
Are those flowers real? and whats the the real size of this cross?

Thanks Deco - flowers are silk, the lady I've done it for is like me, flowers should be in the ground where they live. The cross is 4ft x 18" and started to get very difficult towards the end - that's when the hot glue gun came out! :rofl2:

Thanks all, I delivered it this morning and they were very pleased with it. My brief was to do something 'in my own style' - talk about taking a risk! The good thing is, I got paid for it!!! :yahoo:  Funny how things turn out..........all that time hoping someone would say, "oh what a lovely painting, how much would you like for it? Wilbur! Get mummy's cheque book!" and the first job I get is for flowers! It's only sculpture using colour after all............... ;)

Thanks all for the support ;) I had a call from my sister after the funeral, she said the flowers were the star of the show - even the funeral director praised them! She had the decency not to tell anyone it was my first attempt! ;) I now have an order for 2 normal displays (in vases) - I've got a feeling I'm not going to hear the last of this  ...........now, if only I could paint...... :)
