High Number Of Spam Registrations [Updated]
Posted 07 January 2011 - 11:05 AM
Unfortunately we are forced to temporarily close Arttrade forums for new registrations
due to the enormous amount of Spam registrations we have had for the last few days.
During the last week the forum has been targeted by bots and spammers which have made
a significant amount of false registrations. This could cause a high load of the server where Arttrade
forums are hosted as well as it creates high traffic usage. Despite all the actions taken from our team
to stop this spam flood with all possible resources and software tools we were unable to block a big part
of the spam due to the various locations it is coming from.
We will update this announcement when the forums are again open for new member registrations.
Hopefully for a few days the spam will stop and we will be able to accept new members.
Thank you for your understanding.

Arttrade Team is happy to announce that our forums are again opened for new registrations.
The forums are going through a major software update which will hopefully help in solving
the issue with false/spam registrations and fix some security issues. We will be monitoring
closely all new registrations in the coming weeks to make sure none of them are made in violation
We are also working on the forum skin which underwent a significant change with the software upgrade
so it needs re-design to get back to its previous colour scheme and design.
Welcome to all new registered members and hope to see more active members on-line.
