I did these 2 recently for a painting challenge on my other site.
I'm still looking at them and making some changes here and there.
What do you think?? Comments welcome...

Hi Deedee

I quite like the first one as it has got lovely colours
and mood just think the sky could be touched a bit to give more depth
in the background, what you think?

The second work doesn't seem finished to me especially the foreground
ie the fence is not as detailed as should be as this is the closest thing on
the painting. Think the greenery on the foreground needs more work as well
and the mountain colour seems to me too close to the sky colour, just a thought:)

Hi deedee , I looked at these paintings yesterday . I liked the first one a lot ,i suppose it's because it's my type of painting .I couldn't see anything to adjust or alter; the second one i thought it needed something BUT remember im only a novice so like to see what the more expert people say and learn from that . Hi Deedee - I too - like Stickmaker and Deco like the first one best. One comment I would make - although also a novice - but... the 'reflections' on the water - I would say needs to be a bit more 'lighter'? I just think it is too bright for a reflection - just make it slightly paler? Then I think the trees would 'stand out' better - what do you think? Perhaps put a 'slight wash' over it?

As regards the second one I would also say it doesn't look quite finished! Not sure really what that needs - but there doesn't seem to be a 'focal point' or anything - it just all runs into one - hope you know what I mean? Perhaps like Deco says a fence could be more prominent - that would help - but still something else needs doing like the sky and the blue of the mountains and the greenery in front of the mountains I would say just needs a bit more 'reworking'.
