:cheer: Hi Stickmaker - this is wonderful. I love the shape of the top part of it and the colour looks good too - it has a really nice sheen on it. I also like how you have done the 'length' of it too - with the shape of that - all in all I personally think it is one of the best you have done - although after saying that - I really like the ones with 'heads' on them too :) GREAT STUFF :whistling2: :whistling2:

Hi Stickmaker :)
I agree with Denise - it is one of the best sticks you have done. :whistling2: :whistling2:
Although I also liked a lot the other ones with different birds you made
but the shape of this one is really great and elegant, it's classic chic :manoyes: ,
excellent work :cheer: :)
What horn and tree you've used for this one?

Hi All , Thanks for your interest and comments , (has anyone seen my dog :whistling2: :) )Deco i believe the wood to be apple though i can't be certain as i've had this stick for some years and have only just used it, the horn is water buffallo it really does come up nice when it's polished . Seeing as no one has mentioned the dog on it do you think i should give him a bit of white fur to show him off . ( anyone seen my dog :whistling2: :cheer: :manoyes: . Regards Stickmaker

Hi Stickmaker :)

I think the reason I didn't see the dog is because the photos
have been taken from such an angle and there isn't a close photo of this detail :manoyes:
You've done great job on this one really :whistling2:
I'm really impressed by the whole process of making a stick like this one,
seems it takes quite a lot of time and requires very good technical skills,
well done :whistling2: :)
The choice of the materials is excellent :cheer:

Hey Denise,

I'm here all the time. I'm reading your posts guys but I just don't have any time to post - I've got
a lot of work to do.
Anyway I'm glad to see that all you have such a great progress and it's really a pleasure
for me to look at all your artworks. :whistling2:

Denise, I'm really really sorry about your broken leg. :whistling2: Hope you will get better soon.

:manoyes: Ah..... thanks Neo :whistling2: Although I know it's going to take about 6 weeks before I can get the bloody 'pot' off :cheer: :) I'm hating it at the moment cos I can hardly do anything !!

Don't you go and work yourself into the ground will you? :whistling2: :)

Ken came home last night so we are going to see if we can get an electric chair - then there will be no stop in me :P :) Although Ken said he could plug it in!! hahaha!! That wasn't very nice was it? :)

Thanks for these close-ups Stickmaker :whistling2:
now we can all see your dog in detail :cheer: very good work,
well done :whistling2:
I'm wondering how you had the patience to make such a small
figurine, what material you used for if it's not a professional secret? :)

:whistling2: Hey Stickmaker - the little dog is blooming wonderful - what a nice 'touch'. As Deco says you must have a lot of patience!!

Perhaps a new painting in a few weeks hey!! I keep getting 'bum ache' at the moment cos I'm sitting down too blooming long - so I need to get off it and get my 'bum' into gear sooner rather than later hey!! :whistling2: :cheer:

Hi All , Deco if you look at the 2nd piccie you will see that i allowed a piece on the side of the horn to enable the "dog" to be cut out;so the "dog" is actualy the same piece of horn which is buffallo . It is not another piece which is attached but all one piece of horn carved out . Denise, its a well known us men have to have a lot of patience :whistling2: never mind only about 5 weeks to go you should be fighting fit for Christmas . Neo , your wait is over im about to post Regards Stickmaker

:whistling2: Ha ha Stickmaker - I suppose that is my 'consolation' prize :)

Amazing you did that dog out of one piece of buffalo! I think the wood is amazing and it looks absolutely brilliant :cheer:

I always think it is the women who have more patience than the men, but perhaps I could be wrong in some instances hey :whistling2:
