Denise, Hope you got your wheelchair today and you'll be able to go out.
Mr Hardy sometimes has got a bit strange sense of humour :)
suppose it's one of those jokes you need a time to understand eventually :whistling2:
Wish you fast recovery :whistling2:

Back to the subject of this thread - First Canvas (Acrylic),
sorry Stickmaker the conversation went a bit out of the subject,
so we'll be waiting to see the update on this painting :cheer:

Hey Denise
I'm so sorry :) to hear you broke your foot and have other injuries , I do hope you get better real fast. Glad to hear you are enjoying your new place and that it's more convenient for you at this time. Keeping busy will make the time go by faster, may be a good time to paint if you can.
I need to do a large painting for over my bed. It should be 42 in.x 30 in. I just finished painting the walls and ceiling in shades of orange and golden orange. I will get brown bamboo window shades and I have a brown bedspread. I hope to do the painting picking up these colors and maybe a bit of aqua ,then using a couple of aqua pillows to break up the orangy colors . In the 1st pic. you can see part of a drop ceiling which goes across the room with the bed centered under it . There will be 2 lights hanging under this .with the painting centered between them. The fan was a gift from my Daughter. I will post a pic. of the finished project as soon as I get it all together..
Stickmaker sorry for taking over your post. I can't get over how much progress you've made in such a short time. Keep it up.. :whistling2: :whistling2:

Hi Deedee :whistling2:
Nice to hear you're well and very busy as always :cheer:
I like a lot the choice of the color for your walls,
very warm and cozy. I'll look forward to seeing your new painting
and hopefully how the room looks finished with the painting and new
cushions :whistling2:

:whistling2: Hi Deedee - Colours are gorgeous - as Deco says they are very warm and cozy colours. In fact some of the colours of my new paintings would look nice on the colour of your walls. Why don't you try something more 'modern' for these walls instead of your usual 'sceneries'? I think it would look really nice!

What sort of furniture are you putting in and what colour wood is it? Wouldn't mind having a look at the things you intend to put in the room - then perhaps I could give you a little bit more advice if you wished? The Brown bedspread sounds nice - not sure about the aqua though with the orange! Have you thought about lemony/yellow? Your picture then could have lemony/yellows/browns/creams/pale-dark orange in? Just a few thoughts!! If you do use the aqua cushions then perhaps I would advise that something else in the room have aqua in it i.e. in the artwork, a vase or flowers or something to 'tie it in'?

It might be a good idea to start a new post on this Deedee? Then you can have more input off us hey? Perhaps Deco can start us with a new thread - copying the remarks already made to the new one? Not sure if this can be done Deco?

Thanks for your kind remarks about my injuries :cheer: A long way to go I think before I'm fully fit :whistling2:
