tried some charcoal

some people on the forum have been suggesting that i try charcoal to get rid of that shiny effect my graphite drawings get. i've tried charcoal before but could never get it. i realized though that graphite and charcoal can be used together after reading some posts on deviantart(which by the way has some amazing work you guys should check out). the last pic in this work in progress turned out okay, i think that i had the camera held at an angle, but anyways here they are. tell me what ya think.

Think it's a very good try
I do like the contarst it your works and the charcoal definitely adds to this a lot,
it's always good to try different things.
Just one suggestion - chin seems a bit smaller than on the reference photo.

Hi kc , I'm afraid i can offer no criticism at all , you are much more of an artist than i am . Hope at some time to be able to do work as good .Regards Stickmaker

i think you might be right about the chin, also the teeth and the ear need some work. i don't know how much more i'm gonna work on this pic, i lose interest really fast and just want to get started on the next one. i've probably done four where they were drawn to completion.

Think you have to try to finish this one

who knows you may feel pleased with having some work done
completely cos at least it will be a different experience
to try to push yourslef doing something you usualy don't do.
