:) Deedee, all the paintings have been ace! But it's what WE think of what we're producing that matters.

Your baby shower picture sounds delightful, it will be a treasured gift I'm sure. I think your idea of a view to a flower garden will be very fitting, a new life looking forward to a beautiful path :)

I've been quite hectic, thankfully! I've just completed my busiest month ever, some really nice jobs and great people. One of the clients was an ad agency doing a brochure for Microsoft, I had to produce 5 illustrations for the brochure, so that should look good on my resume!! I've also had an enquiry from a publisher for book jackets, and am working on a range of characters for stationary for another client.

Little Chloe lost her first tooth last week, she was feeling quite left out at school as all the other children had lost loads of teeth! The tooth fairy visited.... £1 ..... can't believe how much it is these days!!

Good to hear Wendy is doing well, I'm so pleased, she really needed a boost, pass on our love to her!! H x

Attachment attachmentHi everyone
I am currently working on this painting. Would like feedback. From a picture I found on webshots, did a few changes . A lot of bright colors, I know, but I need that right now as I 'm just getting over a month of spasms in my back. and the weather is not helping. It is pouring rain here.... Looking on the bright side,,
It could be snow.....
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL :santa_smiley: :cheer:

Deedee

Ah, Deedee.. I know all about spasms in the back. You have my complete empathy. I get around it by sitting on a high stool to paint, and on bad days I use the chair with the high back as well... Great is it not? Nothing stops us from painting.

Did you want a critique on your sunset? Well, I'm not sure I am qualified there. Besides, it looks okay to me!
Keep sloshing it on. All the best

You're welcome John. :santa_smiley:

I see you've managed with your signature.
As for posting a link to your art work ...
I don't know why you think it's better to post a link
to a website that sells your art instead of posting a thread
here with an image as an attachment? This is the way most
forums work so I don't see any problem :santa_kiss:

Hi Deco,

I'm afraid I don't follow what you mean. I don't know how to post images in the forum, so I thought it would be easier to put in the thread I did. So it wasn't that I thought it better. It was the only way I knew how.
But if it isn't forum policy I will remove it.

I'll have a look at photo-bucket, or some such program, although that is such a hassle getting pictures up!
Thanks for the advice.
Take care and happy painting.

Hi John :santa_smiley:

No problem about your signature, it doesn't violate the
forum rules. :santa_kiss: you can add it again.

You can have a look at that thread "How to post images"
that might be of use if you'd like to post some of your works:

http://arttrade.net/forums/index.php?s=&am...ost&p=14799

The forum has been updated to the newest software version
so I've added a new post in that thread how it can be done with
the new forum software.

The old animated version that can be also of use can be found here
tutorial 2 - How to add an image:

http://arttrade.net/forums/index.php?s=&am...post&p=6965

There are just few small differences but in general it shows
the way to post images.

Hope this will help. :cheer:

Hi John ,
Welcome to Arttrade and thanks for your comments .
Looking forward to seeing some of your work.. The easiest way for me is downloading the pic off my digital camera into a program called My Pictures. FRom there I can edit my pic .in another program that came with my camera called Image Zone . I crop it and resize if needed, then save the edited version in My Pictures.
Then you can upload directly into this site using the method as per the directions given by Deco.
Hope this helps . :santa_smiley:

Hi Deedee, I'm sorry we spoiled your topic, lets get back to the subject. :santa_smiley:
Have you worked more on the "Sunset" versions, although it's a bit old thread?
I'd like to see the updates if you have done some or at least
how the finished paintings look :santa_kiss:

Ps. John, if you've got more questions about posting images,
could you please start a new thread in the sub forum "Arttrade.Net! Site Discussions":
